WSU Vancouver, the Human Services Council, Project Service Leadership and the Nonprofit Network Southwest Washington are working with various sectors of our community to identify ways all people can more effectively share their time, talent and treasure to address community needs. We are also exploring how collectively we can develop a supportive infrastructure to meet those needs.
Given the current state of the economy and its impact on schools and families our communities will depend even more on the generosity, kindness and skills of volunteers. Through local conversations and surveys and by learning about effective practices in other communities, the Clark County Civic Engagement Collaborative is developing a plan to combine the resources and skills of various organizations to help people more easily engage in the life of the community through volunteerism, service-learning, civic action and philanthropy. We welcome your thoughts and suggestions along the way.
