The Clark County Civic Engagement Collective brings together organizations that facilitate and promote volunteerism, student engagement and civic decision-making. Our purpose is to increase our efficiency, effectiveness and voice as we develop ways for people to think, talk and work together to create a positive future for Clark County.
Guiding Principles
Collective members will
- recognize and respect each member's mission and work.
- foster collaboration and broad community outreach.
- promote cost effectiveness and minimize duplication.
- actively contribute to the development and implementation of the Collective's vision.
Membership and Structure
The collective has a very open membership and structure with stakeholders coming from the non-profit, business, K-20, and faith communities in and around Clark County. A Steering Committee, made up of a representative from Nonprofit Network, Human Services Council, Colleges/Universities, United Way, and Service Learning from K-12 will guide the initiatives of the collective. Every effort will be made to include others when appropriate.
Planning and implementation of specific initiatives will be led by Design Teams, comprised of interested stakeholders, steering committee members, and others within the community, with overall coordination by the Steering Committee.
